I sat here for fifteen minutes trying to conjure up some kind of blog material, but words fail. I think tonight will be quiet. I am exhausted because the power went out at 5 a.m., and I awoke because it was too quiet and dark. Seriously, the hum of electronics and the dim light from my closet provide a more effective lullaby than silence. Too much ice on the lines, apparently. On my way to work, I walked under an overpass and a massive chunk of ice crashed two feet in front of me and shattered into pieces. If I had left the house just a fraction of a second earlier, I’d be giving a whole new meaning to  the phrase “brain freeze.”
